Verse 1
Jesus, good above all other, Gentle child of gentle mother, In a stable born our brother, Give us grace to persevere.
Verse 2
Jesus, cradled in a manger, For us facing every danger, Living as a homeless stranger, We make You our King most dear.
Verse 3
Jesus, for Your people dying, Risen Master, death defying, Lord in heaven, grace supplying, By Your altar, keep us near.
Verse 4
Jesus, who, our sorrows bearing, All our tho'ts and hopes are sharing, Unto man the truth declaring, Help us all Your truth to hear.
Verse 5
Lord, in all our doings guide us; Let not pride and hate divide us. We go on with You beside us, And with joy will persevere.
Coda
Amen
