21713. HE CARES FOR ME
Lyrics & Stanzas
4 portions
Verse 1
Jesus walked the lonely road to Calvary, Bloodstained each step that He made for me; My sin drove the nails in His hands and feet, And when He bowed His precious head, I know that there, He knew me.
.
Verse 2
There His mangled body Joseph gently laid, The silent dark tomb at close of day; The guard sealed the tomb, set a watch e'er long, Mary, tho' brokenhearted now, would have to leave Him alone
Verse 3
Angels there from glory rolled the stone away, Why seek the living among the dead? He lives with the Father to reign above. I know my name is written there; it's penned in Calvary's blood.
Chorus
I know, He knows, He cares for me, He reached down His hand, and He set me free; I don't understand it, for a sinner like me, But I know that He loves ev'rybody and me.
