How deep the wonders of that cross, Where our Redeemer bled and died; Its noblest life our spirit draws, From His deep wounds and pierced side.

I would forever speak His name In sounds to mortal ears unknown. With angels join to praise the Lamb And worship at His Father's throne.

Christ gave His life upon that cross, New covenant made He with man; His church was purchased by His blood So I His love can understand.

Christ's precious blood has saved my soul and cleanses me from all my sin, Through grace and faith that works by love The vic'try o'er the world I'll win.
