22224. CHRIST, THE VERY FORM OF GOD
Lyrics & Stanzas
4 portions
Verse 1
Christ, the very form of God, did not seek to seize His place. Humbled and for all resolved, emptied self to show His grace.
Verse 2
Christ in servant form came down, born in likeness of all men, filled with love and for His own, shed His blood to cleanse our sin.
Verse 3
Christ, whose mind we are to know, taught us how to freely give, raised in glory to His throne, one day with Him we will live.
Verse 4
Christ, the name above all names, thankful praise our tongues confess. Jesus Christ the King who reigns, faithful love our lives profess.
