21929. A DAY OF PROMISE
Lyrics & Stanzas
3 portions
Verse 1
I stand upon Your promises, my Savior and my Guide. And when the storm clouds gather near with You I shall abide. You have a plan prepared for me, my future's in Your care. Each day a cup of mercy flows. Your love is ev'rywhere.
Verse 2
No voice is sweeter than Your call. I lean upon Your breast. Each day brings me still closer to eternal peace and rest. You open wide the gates for me, I gather in the fold. Oh, Lamb of God, eternal Friend, the half has yet been told.
Chorus
Today's a day of promise, I raise my head and shine. A star within His universe. His glory now is mine. I labor for the Master, the harvest is in sight. Oh glory, Hallelujah! Sweet heaven, my delight.
