歌词与诗节
5 段
Verse 1
When in sorrow we tell our dear brethren goodbye And miss harmony filling our hearts, Come and tell me that one day we’ll meet up on high, When our loved ones will never depart.
Verse 2
When a brother must suffer through fiery strain, And each morning his sorrows increase, Come and tell me that one day he'll feel no more pain, When at rest in that Sabbath of peace.
Verse 3
When a brother decides to abandon the Way And refuses to come be restored, Come and tell me that one day no spirits will stray, When allegiance is safe with our Lord.
Verse 4
When today with our brethren we worship the King, And our hearts are resounding with praise, Come and tell me that one day our voices will ring, When we sing with the saints of all days.
Chorus
Every day as we walk through this shadowy land, Where the path is surrounded by night, Never let me forget that in heaven we’ll stand, Where each face, like the sun, will be bright.
