22322. LOVE SAVED ME
Lyrics & Stanzas
4 portions
Verse 1
Uttered, at last, my confession, At His feet; Pardoned my ev’ry transgression, Full, complete; Ended my dread of the morrow, I am free; Joy has been given for sorrow— Love saved me.
Verse 2
Burdens no longer can bend me, On the way; He will uphold and defend me Day by day; Storms may around me be sweeping, O’er and o’er, Safe I’ll abide in His keeping Evermore.
Verse 3
Come with your sin and your sorrow, Grief and pain; Comfort from Him you may borrow, Pardon gain; Such a companion my Savior Dear would be; Come and rejoice in His favor— Love saved me.
Chorus
Oh, what a story— (O, what a story I have to tell—) Saved by love! (Saved by His love, a Savior’s love!) Made heir to glory Realms above! (Made me an heir to glorious realms, Realms above!) Sin shall not sever, (In His great love I ever will dwell,) His I’ll be, (His evermore my love shall be,) And sing forever, (And I will sing with joy evermore,) “Love saved me!”
